Director
LCPC & Supervisor
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). I founded Between the Lines, LLC, a private counseling practice, located in Huntingtown, Maryland. I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders and co-occurring disorders across the life span, and believe in a multidisciplinary team approach and evidence-based treatment modalities to ensure each client is getting the best treatment tailored for their individual goals.
I obtained my Master’s in Counseling from Johns Hopkins University in 2016 after receiving my Bachelor’s in Family Studies from Arizona State University in 2010. For the past four years, I’ve worked in inpatient and PHP levels of care, and have over 10 years of experience treating hundreds of patients. While I loved being able to facilitate treatment to individuals beginning their journey into recovery, I felt the process to be like reading the first few chapters of a great book, only to realize you could not finish it. Thus, I founded Between the Lines to have the opportunity to see my clients through their entire journey, helping them navigate between the lines, and finally “finish the book”.
Kathryn Cline
LCPC & C-DBT
Kathryn is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Maryland. Kathryn graduated from Loyola University Maryland with her Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. While pursuing her Masters, she worked in the outpatient setting seeing individuals and couples, while running groups focusing on Grief & Bereavement and SMART Recovery. Most recently she has specialized in eating disorder treatment with the Center of Eating Disorders at Sheppard Pratt.
She has a long history of working with youth and young adults. She worked for several years in community and schools settings along with other levels of hospitalization. She also enjoys working with people at all stages of life.
Kathryn works with people who are experiencing a wide range of struggles including difficulty regulating their emotions, adjusting to life transitions, interpersonal relationships, mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorders, low self-esteem and the spectrum of eating disorder diagnoses. She will collaborate with her clients to find the appropriate therapeutic techniques for them to assist in making active and healthy life changes. This, along with a solid therapeutic relationship and collaborative goal setting, can increase positive outcomes and ensure the best care possible.

Life can present many challenges that impact our daily lives. Therapy can help us feel heard and validate our feelings as we work through changes. I have a warm, person-centered, open, accepting, and non-judgmental approach to help empower clients to discover their solutions through self-awareness and growth. Working together, we can develop a 'curiosity' towards problems and uncover areas supporting or holding us back in everyday life.
I developed my passion for mental wellness working with NAMI Family Support Groups. I have an interest in helping those with co-occurring disorders. Many substance use and eating disorders are often co-occurring with anxiety and depression, which can make things messy and can create cyclical patterns that can keep us stuck in life. We cannot "fix" some things, but sometimes small changes can help empower us to develop a new awareness, find self-worth, and discover strengths.
